Got Jobs: Solving Our Workforce Crisis by Growing Our Own
Presented by: Anna Browne - Workforce Development Manager, Port of Morrow
For the past 6 years the Port of Morrow has worked to development partnerships and programs to grow our own workforce. Living in a rural area presents its challenges, some of the largest being a lack of people. In a county with only 12,000 people and no stop lights, we are working to solves these challenges by engaging the next generation of workers, our students. Anna will discuss the camps, stem programs, early learning, career development and internship programs that are helping to expose students to world-class employment opportunities right in their own back yard.
